Will.i.am and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas have just made history on the Billboard charts. This week the foursome, who have had their share of critics, will have topped Billboard's Hot 100 singles charts for 20 consecutive weeks, the most ever by an act. "Boom Boom Pow," their first Number one single, was at the top of the charts for 12 weeks, and was dislodged by another "Peas" single, "I Gotta Feeling," which has been on top for eight weeks. The band's CD, "The E.N.D.," is nearly platinum, selling over 900,000 units since its June release. Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton will not have to pay 8.3 million dollars in damages claimed by the receiver for a defunct entertainment firm who said she failed to promote a movie flop called "Pledge This!" Hilton was sued for breach of contract, alleging she failed to properly promote the film, in which she played the president of a sorority at fictional South Beach University. The entertainment firm was hoping to recoup the 8.3 million dollar cost of producing the movie, including Hilton's 1 million dollar fee. Tween vampire lovers could soon be descending on a city near you. Summit Entertainment, producer of the "Twilight" movies, has decided to produce a series of "Twilight" fan conventions, which will take place at various North American locations over the next three years. The conventions will feature onstage appearances by "Twilight" celebrities, screenings of exclusive footage, panel discussions, and musical performances.
